Transformation through Emptying the Bowl…

Emptying the bowl is a metaphor for all spiritual work, whether it be of the body, mind or spirit.  Transformational work is often counterintuitive, as it is not only in the learning that we are transformed, it is in the unlearning that the truth is revealed.

BODY:  When it comes to the body, we implement purification and detoxification, allowing the divine flow of vitality to emerge.  We remove the burden of pesticides, chemicals, acids and residuals from our organs and fat tissue to restore our natural ability to heal thyself from within.  There are many modalities of detoxification such as; sauna, juice fasting, diet restriction and herbal.

“The best way out is always through.” – Robert Frost.

MIND:  When emptying the mind, we do this by fasting from all negative thinking and beliefs.  We release any and all considerations of scarcity or lack.  We focus on the things we want to expand and no longer focus on the things we don’t want.  We engage a mindful, purposeful and creative thinking.

“The purification of the mind is very necessary.” – Swami Satchidananda

SPIRIT:  To create a sacred space for spirit, we quiet the mind all together.  We clear out all aspects of our life that are no longer are in alignment with what we are committed to.  We surrender to the eternal now.

“Everyone can perform magic, everyone can reach his goals, if

he is able to think, if he is able to wait, if he is able to fast.”

– Hermann Hesse, Siddhartha
