Through our Daily Spiritual Practice we become…

In the book ‘Care of the Soul,’ Thomas Moore speaks of our troubles.  He states, “The great malady of the twentieth century, is “loss of soul.” When soul is neglected, it doesn’t just go away; it appears symptomatically in obsession, addictions, violence, and loss of meaning.”  He goes on to say, “Our temptation is to isolate these symptoms or to try to eradicate them one by one; but the root problem is that we have lost our wisdom about the soul, even our interest in it.”  Thomas goes on to explain how our deepest desire is to put our soul into life.

We begin to make every moment, every task, every expression soulful!  We light the candles when we eat our meals.  We turn on classical music to create an ambiance that speaks to our hearts.  We slow down and bring the essence of who we are to each breath we take.  All work begins to be fulfilling because we see how everything we do is an expression of our Divinity.   We bring soul to this beautiful thing we call life!

Daily Affirmation:  I reclaim the wisdom of my soul, expressing love into every thing I do!

Daily Action:  Today, I will slow down and experience being alive.  I will express my heart and soul into existence.  I will put flowers in my house, light candles, turn on music…or anything that has my soul sing out loud.  I will fulfill my purpose of love and connection.
