REACTIVE MIND

Through our Daily Spiritual Practice we release our…

Reactive Mind

For most of us, there were moments in our lives, in childhood or some point in time, when something we perceived traumatic occurred.  In order to survive we made decisions, that altered our way of thinking to be able to cope with our emotional pain.   These decisions make up our ‘reactive mind’ which alters our lives, leaving us in vicious cycles that never allow us to ever be completely fulfilled, holding us back from fully living and loving. They impact our entire existence leaving us feeling less, thinking less and being less.  The irony is that these reactive beliefs are so counter survival, such false calculations that we intuitively know they are incorrect, yet we keep believing them subconsciously.  They become our shadow counterparts…we keep acting them out over and over again, hoping for a different outcome.  The definition of ‘insanity’ is doing the same thing over and over, hoping for a different outcome.  When in actuality, these contradictory decisions hold us back from experiencing life in its full velocity and intensity.  At one point in time they served as pro-survival calculation, but now they are the exact calculation that never has us fulfilled with love and connection.  As we begin to release our  ‘reactive mind’ beliefs we begin to take back our freedom!

Examples:

1.  I need your love; Therefore, I will not give you love.  Therefore, I do not need love.

2.  In order to not be abandoned, I must abandon you.  Then, I can’t be abandoned.

3.  When I care, you don’t care.  Therefore, I will not care in order for you to care.

Daily Affirmation:  I release my reactive beliefs and step into the unknown of connection, creation and love!

Daily Action:  Today, I will notice where I am doing the same thing over and over, hoping for a different result.  I will observe how I react that has me being separate and disconnected.  I will take one step towards love!
